Dansk: Efter nederlaget i 1864 og til 1920 var Sønderjylland under tysk styre. Derfor blev mange unge mænd hvervet til den tyske hær under Den føste verdenskrig. Tyrstrup sogn har sat denne mindesten over de faldne under Den første verdenskrig. Teksten på stenen: "Tyrstrup sogns beboere rejste denne sten til et minde om deres faldne i verdenskrigen 1914-1918.

English: After the defeat in 1864 and until 1920, South Jutland was under German rule. Therefore, many young men were recruited into the German army during the First World War. Tyrstrup parish has set this memorial stone on the fallen during the First World War. The text on the stone: "Tyrstrup parish residents raised this stone in memory of their fallen in the World War 1914-1918." The names of the fallen follows underneath. This memorial is particular interesting because danes seldom consider that this area - now a part of Denmark after 1920 - fought in the first world war on the german side. It is considered a closed chapter. A bit shameful.
