At the southwest corner of the Grand Forks airport, this Survey Marker was found completely by accident while searching for a benchmark.

Establishing the southwest corner of the Grand Forks Airport, this survey marker from 1971 was monumented on a square concrete pier at the southeast corner of a concrete box protecting a large manually operated water valve. We believe it is/was used to control the flow of irrigation water in a pipe below ground.

Immediately northeast of the marker is the southwest corner of the chainlink fence surrounding the airport.

One may park temporarily on Como Toad west of the marker, as this isn't a terribly busy spot.
