"Millerground and Rayrigg Meadow is a natural area open to the public on the eastern shore of Windermere. It is owned by South Lakeland District Council and the National Trust.
It includes a fantastic hill-top view over the lake to the high fells, woodland walks by a stream, waterfall and along the lakeshore. There are public jetties, gravel beaches for picnics and paddling, and wide grassy areas for running and playing. Next to the car park are WCs, picnic tables and a small children's playground."

"Rayrigg Meadow is a recreation ground that is part of the Millerground area on Rayrigg Road beside Lake Windermere.
It has a:
-outdoor adventure centre
-full size football pitch
-children's play area
-picnic areas
-lake frontage with public jetties and swimming areas

The Millerground Enhancement Group have raised over £200,000 to improve the footpaths and provide a new playground. The playground is now open and work will continue in September to make an accessible path to the lake shore. Some of the paths may be closed for short periods while these improvements take place but we will keep disruption to a minimum."
