George Washington bust (southeast corner), and a public rest room building (northeast corner). The George Washington bust was placed on an aggregate stone pedestal as part of the 1976 Bicentennial celebration. The original bust was made of fiberglass. In 2012, it was replaced by a bronze one paid by private donations.
A number of other improvements have occurred over the last few decades in the park. The bust of George Washington was placed in the southeast quarter in 1976, with a time capsule to be opened in 2076.
