Walcott house: Said to have been erected by John Walcott before 1750, this two-story, center-chimney, flank-gable structure was owned by his son, Benjamin Walcott, at the time of the Revolution, and subsequently by Benjamin’s son John. Porches have been added to both the front and hack. -The northern end of the house possesses a notable Greek Revival entrance with sidelights. The doorway trim has shoulders and slightly battered flanks. Serving as a cornice is a wide cyma recta moulding decorated with antliemions and other Greek-insprired designs.
