The Garden of Remembrance is located immediately at the back of the Supreme Court building and the Cenotaph is located in this garden. This monument serves as a memorial to Bahamians who lost their lives in World Wars I and II and the four Royal Bahamas Defence Force Marines who lost their lives when the HMBS Flamingo was attacked and sunk by a rocket from a Cuban MIG fighter.

The World War I marker reads:
"In grateful memory of the sons of this colony
Who made the supreme sacrifice in the Great War
1914 - 1918
Bahamians: Let this of you be said
That you who live are worthy of your dead
These gave their lives that you who live may reap
A richer harvest, ere you fall asleep."

---

The World War II marker reads:
"In grateful memory of the sons of this colony
Who made the supreme sacrifice in World War II
1939 - 1945
These are the men whom history will acclaim
The men who never feared to count the cost
These sons of ours, who need no shame.
Who gave their all when everything seemed lost."
