A Wyoming's Wildlife sign at the rest area on the east side of I 25, within a minute's drive from Chugwater, provides some background about the wildlife you'll see in the area.

The sign has an inset of a chipmunk, and the emblem of Wyoming's Wildlife -- "Worth the Watching" -- in the lower right corner. In the lower left corner, the shield of the Wyoming Game & Fish Department is accompanied by "'Wyoming's Wildlife -- Worth the Watching' is funded in a large part through interest earned from the Wildlife Trust Account."
This sign tells you a little bit about the wildlife that lives in the rock outcroppings that you see in the area, and if you're lucky, you'll see a few of them if you're paying attention as you drive.
