This is not a grave.
The calf is made of bronze, and it's life-sized, looking like it's enjoying itself as it gallops along. In front of the calf is a bronze plaque mounted on a granite base. It reads:
Placed by the Wyoming Stock Growers Association
in Recognition of the Contributions of
U.S. Senator, Governor and WSGA President
Clifford P. Hansen
Who Exemplifies the Many Contributions of the
Cattle industry to the State of Wyoming
2005

Governor Hansen rests at peace with his wife and daughter at the Saint John's Episcopal Church Columbarium in Jackson, WY, over four hundred thirty miles from here, in the area where he was raised. He served from 1963 to 1967 as the state governor and then from 1967 to 1978 as a United States Senator. With practical experience and an education as a successful rancher/cattleman, he also served as a president and officer of the Wyoming Stock Growers Association.
