This citizens memorial is located in Zeeland Charter Township of Zeeland, Michigan within Drenthe Community Park. Drenthe Community Park is a 20 acre park on Byron Road. The memorial is a cement drinking fountain with a plaque and the surrounding area(bench and softball field). The plaque reads:"This area and drinking fountain is given to the softball players and community of Drenthe in memory of a great friend, and teammate who loved the game.... Gelmer 'Boets' Boetsma donated by his family August 2004"
