[EN] "Washhouses: they are distributed on the one hand on the banks of Auxance, near the lower town and outside the town (Moulin de la Chèze and La Doie). They can be associated with
identity spaces of the territory: the alleys that the women of the village used to go down to the laundrettes, to beat the linen there. They went either to the "Lavoir des 3 Fontaines", the oldest of the public washhouses, or to the one located along the stream joining Auxance, the "Cache Grenouille" washhouse. The Doie washhouse: far from the town and located at near the hamlet of Gorlière, this washhouse is fed by a shallow water table. "
