The Ford 9N, introduced in 1939 as the first product of the collaboration between Ford and businessman Harry Ferguson, had both a three-point hitch and a power take off. About 750,000 were built and it is estimated that half are still in use. The 9N was replaced by the 2N in 1942. The handshake agreement between Henry Ford and Ferguson was dissolved in 1945 by Henry Ford II, and Ferguson later merged with Canadian company Massy Harris to become Massy-Ferguson.
