Photographer Gary Logan commissioned muralist Trey Wilder to paint a mural on his building. Trey interviewed Gary and determined that Mr. Logan liked steampunk and octopuses. Mr. Wilder proposed a steampunk octopus, and that's what he painted.

Deborah Ferguson, an anchor on the local NBC affiliate, KXAS Channel 5, spoke with the photographer and the artist on September 1, 2018 while it was being painted.
