The rose garden in Newton Park was established in 1999 and opened in 2001 and comprises over 2000 roses and more than 200 cultivars selected from the hybrid tea, floribunda, David Austin and the climbing roses varieties. Climbing roses deck archways while special varieties grow through unique structures.The Heritage Rose Garden bed was planted with one hundred and eighty roses which were introduced before the year 1900,
