The park includes a playground for small children and two benches. At first glance, it appears to be a small park squeezed up against a track and parking lots belonging to the high school. However, according to the city of Ottawa web site, most of the track and most of the parking lot belongs to the park. The posted co-ordinates are for the centre of the field surrounded by the 400 metre track.

Parks and streets in this neighbourhood are named for premiers and lieutenant governors of Ontario. Pauline (Mills) McGibbon (1910-2001) was the 22nd Lieutenant Governor of Ontario from 1974 to 1980.
