[DE] Auf der Insel Spiekeroog befinden sich die drei Holzskulpturen Dalbensproß I bis III des Künstlers Bernd Finkenwirth. Die Skulpturen wurden aus Basralocusholz angefertigt. Dieses Holz besitzt eine hohe Widerstandsfähigkeit gegen holzzerstörende Tiere des Meerwassers.

Im Holz der ausgedienten Dalben ist Schönheit, ist jenes Wunder des Lebendigen enthalten, das hinter allem Ende still und berhaarlich neuen Anfang schafft.
Die Skulpturen "Dalbensproß I, II, III" von Bernd Finkenwirth entstanden auf Spiekeroog im Herbst 2011."
