"La Parroquia de Nuestra Señora del Rosario tuvo su comienzo en 1907. Antes de este tiempo, los Católicos del área asistían a Misa en el pueblo de Niles. Cuando la línea del Ferrocarril de Western Pacific pasó por el pueblo y se anticipaba la llegada de mucha gente, se donaron dos parcelas de tierra a la Iglesia Católica. La primera Misa se celebró en un Salón cuyo dueño era Albert Silva en las calles 10 y <>en Abril 1907. Un incendio en 1952 destruyo el Salón. El 13 de Octubre, 1907, la primera Misa en la nueva Iglesia Misión ubicada en la calle 13th y fue celebrada por el Padre Dominic Governo de la Iglesia del Espíritu Santo en Centerville. La nueve iglesia fue dedicada al Santo Rosario, por eso se le puso el nombre fe Nuestra Señora del Rosario. La iglesia de la calle 13 y permaneció como una iglesia misión por 43 años hasta que nombraron al Padre Ralph Duggan como Administrador en Agosto, 1950. En 1951, se compró la parcela de tierra en donde la actual parroquia está ubicada de un granjero local, Teléforo Sánchez. Se empezó la construcción del centro religioso y un salón recreacional en la calle 6 y la , principalmente con mano de obra de voluntarios. Este es el edificio que en la actualidad es nuestro Salón Parroquial. El Salón fue dedicado el 7 de Octubre, 1952 – la Fiesta de Nuestra Señora del Rosario. Diez días después la iglesia de la calle 13 y <> fue destrozada por un incendio. El bombero Antone Alcosta corrió por el edificio en llamas para preservar el Santísimo. El Salón se convirtió en la Iglesia, y todos los servicios se llevaron a cabo aquí hasta 1960." lLink to church


"Our Lady of the Rosary Parish had its beginning in 1907. Before this time, area Catholics attended Mass in the town of Niles. When the Western Pacific Railroad line passed through the town and the arrival of Many people donated two parcels of land to the Catholic Church The first Mass was celebrated in a Hall owned by Albert Silva on 10th and <> streets in April 1907. A fire in 1952 destroyed the Hall. October 13, 1907, the first Mass in the new Mission Church located on 13th Street and was celebrated by Father Dominic Governo of the Church of the Holy Spirit in Centerville. The nine church was dedicated to the Holy Rosary, that is why it was named faith Our Lady of the Rosary. The 13th Street and church remained a mission church for 43 years until Father Ralph Duggan was appointed Administrator in August, 1950 In 1951, the parcel of land was purchased where The current parish is located by a local farmer, Teléforo Sánchez. Construction of the religious center and a recreational hall on 6th Street and began, mainly with volunteer labor. This is the building that is currently our Parish Hall. The Hall was dedicated on October 7, 1952 - the Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary. Ten days later the church on 13th Street and was destroyed by fire. Firefighter Antone Alcosta ran through the burning building to preserve the Blessed Sacrament. The Hall became the Church, and all services were held here until 1960. "
