Description of Memorial: The granite memorial and base are located at the intersection of East Margaree Road and the Cabot Trail Road. It stands in the middle of a triangular shape parcel of land that borders both roads. The memorial is approximately 8 feet high. The words "Our Heroic Dead" are engraved within a wreath of leaves at the top. The memorial is surrounded by wooden posts through which a chain is threaded. Flower pots are positioned on each side of the memorial during the summer months.
