The Edmond Sun has announced that it's 130 year old Newspaper will be merging with The Norman Transcript.

The Edmond Sun announced Saturday that it will merge with The Norman Transcript because of the financial affects of the coronavirus pandemic.
The Edmond newspaper wrote that it gets most of its revenue from advertisements from local businesses, which have been suffering because of the pandemic. Because of that, Edmond Sun officials decided the best way to serve its community was by merging with the Norman newspaper, which will begin covering Edmond starting May 6.
"These are stressful times for you, and for us," The Edmond Sun wrote. "We thank our Edmond Sun subscribers and advertisers for their support over the years, and ask that you continue to embrace our journalism in The Norman Transcript."
The Edmond Sun served its community since its establishment in 1889.
