Closing corners usually occur along a Township Line, but in this case this is one of a pair of closing corners along along a section line. This section corner is located west of the north end of the North Sugarpine lava flow about a tenth of a mile west of FS Rd. 9724700. The cap is set on a buried pipe base rising about 10” above the ground surface. The location is marked by a orange carsonite marker post labeled “Survey Marker”. The cap was set by the U.S. General Land Office Survey in 1917. The cap is marked T 20 S, R 11 E, 23, 24.
