Searches of the wasteland that is the Internet, including a closer look through FamilySearch.org, turn up nothing. An uneducated, wild guess is that someone's gun went off at an inopportune time. This teenage lad is buried next to his parents, with flowers sculpted across his marble headstone. The inscription reads:

S. Elbert

Son of
Dr. I.Z. & M.J. Brown
Mar. 11, 1903
Accidentally Killed
July 28, 1919.

He was faithful to every duty.

Weep not, father and mother, for me,
For I am waiting in glory for thee.
Type of Death Listed: Accident
