This humming stone is part of a hiking path near Bingen. It is placed in the forest on the hills near to Bingen and it has many stations where children (and adults) can teach themselves about the 'secrets' of the nature. The stations show the things you can find the forest as well as other natural phenomona. This station is dedicated to the humming stones. The material the stone is made of is basalt, a material coming from vulcanic activity and is very common in this area.
