This is Deport's old cemetery, long inactive and since put out to pasture by Highland Cemetery, just a few miles northwest of here. While it's not abandoned, there are signs of neglect, as well as some vandalism and subsequent repair. Older photos from Findagrave note that this monument had been toppled previously, but as of this posting, it is standing proudly. The inscription reads:
