Fjordenhus er Olafur Eliassons ikoniske bygning på Vejles havnefront. Bygningen er den verdenskendte kunstners første bygningsværk og allerede et kendt vartegn for Vejle.
Bygningen i havnebassinet i Vejle er på 9.000 kvadratmeter og består af fire sammenhængende cylindre, der med en højde på 28 meter rejser sig op af vandet.
Afhængigt af hvor man er i bygningen vil der således være forskellige vinkler og udsyn til fjordens bredder og havnen, indrammet af buede åbninger og vinduer. To af stueetagens rum gennemstrømmes af vand.
Fjordenhus is Olafur Eliasson's iconic building on Vejle's waterfront. The building is the first known work of the world renowned artist and already a well-known landmark for Vejle.
The building in the harbor basin in Vejle is 9,000 square meters and consists of four continuous cylinders, which with a height of 28 meters rise from the water.
Depending on where you are in the building, there will thus be different angles and views of the fjord's banks and the harbor, framed by arched openings and windows. Two of the ground floor rooms are flooded with water.
