" Cette belle maison à encorbellement, de structure moyenâgeuse, mais à la façade Renaissance, fut acquise par Jean Le Roux, maire de la ville, pour la somme de 1 100 livres tournois, par acte passé devant Charles Griel et Claude Lhomme, tabellions jurés du comté d'Eu, le 28 février 1650.
Les sommes employées par la ville pour cet achat provenaient en partie des deniers d'étapes des régiments de Picardie et de la Meilleraye logés au Tréport le 15 décembre 1649.
Le pignon à degrés et son Manneken-Pis rappellent ceux de nos voisins du Nord, à gauche l'ancien chemin de Criel bordé par la grande muraille faite de silex, briques et de pierres, vestige de l'enceinte ouest de l'abbaye Saint-Michel du Tréport. "

"This beautiful corbelled house, of medieval structure, but with a Renaissance facade, was acquired by Jean Le Roux, mayor of the city, for the sum of 1,100 tournament books, by deed before Charles Griel and Claude Lhomme, sworn tabellions of the county of Eu, February 28, 1650.
The sums used by the city for this purchase came partly from the money of stages of the regiments of Picardy and the Meilleraye housed in Tréport on December 15, 1649.
The stepped gable and its Manneken-Pis remind those of our neighbors to the North, on the left the old Criel path bordered by the great wall made of flint, bricks and stones, a vestige of the western enclosure of Saint Abbey -Michel du Tréport. "
