The privy isn't necessarily modern, but unlike so many, it is made of steel, with an orange door with the ubiquitous half moon opening. What looks to be a roughneck silhouette, in line with the idea of the many oil fields in the area, has his hand raised in greeting. On one of the other sides is a silhouette of a cowboy in a classic pose, leaning against something with his head down. The remaining two sides are blank. The privy could use a little paint, but it is clean and free of uninvited guests. Be certain to bring your own roll.
Location:
The Loco Cemetery was established in 1899, while the Loco community arose in the 1880s, receiving its post office in 1890. It began as an agricultural community, adding oil and gas to its economy with the booms nearby in the 19teens, and for some time, was a major business center in Stephens County. At its height, it boasted between 500 and 600 residents, with multiple churches and businesses. It has since settled down to just over a hundred people, but the post office remains active.

There are two schools of thought as to the name of the town. One is that it derives from the locoweed that is prominent in the area, toxic to livestock. The other is that an area physician gave a modernized version of Latin locus, for "the place."
