This insect hotel is placed at the Erlebnispfad Bingerwald. The Elebnispfad (experience path) is a hiking path in the forest near Bingen. Several stations introduce children and adults into the 'secrets' of the forest as well as to the culture of the Roman Empire whose artifacts can be found in that area.
The insect hotel is a place to introduce people into the variety of the small animals living in our forests and of course are a place to live for them. Its size of about 1m x 2m and a plaque gives an introduction into the world of insects.
