Along the stretch of highway between Boston Bar and Yale are
7 tunnels, built between 1957 and 1964, as part of the Trans-Canada Highway. From South to North the tunnels are: Yale (1963), Saddle Rock (1958), Sailor Bar (1959), Alexandra (1964), Hell's Gate(1960), Ferrabee (1964) and China Bar (1961).
Following that order, driving from south to north, our first Benchmark is 66C109, monumented in 1966 in the face of the west end of Yale Tunnel. On the south side of the highway, it's just above the ground, relatively easy to spot from up close.
Each entrance to each tunnel has at least a small pullout in which one may park. Here, there's a small one on the north side, immediately before the tunnel entrance.
