The ceremonail gate pillars at the North Gate to the Edgbaston Campus both feature a bas-relief shield of the University's Coat of Arms.

The 'North Gate', on Prichatts Road, was formerly the main entrance to the University of Birminghams campus in Edgbaston.

This entrance to the university features a pair of ceremonial drive gates with pedestrian gates to either side, all made by the Birmingham Guild, with lodges set at either side and wing walls. The grouping was designed by H.T. Buckland and W Haywood and built in 1930.’ (visit link)
