Located on the library grounds, just north of Veterans Square, Sunburst is an abstract sculpture constructed of concrete. It shows two bisecting circles of masonry, each with 16 points. The concrete is scored with lines. The concrete appears to be colored a light gold.

Wayne Amerine was a renowned sculptor (12/22/1928 - 8/3/2009). He was a veteran of the Korean War and Vietnam. He was a painter as well as a sculptor.
