The artifacts which can be found here were discorvered in 1779. It has been a farm like they were common in the area west of the Rhine in the 2nd and 3rd century. The villa rustica has been build around 150 B.C and has a size of 3,5 hektar. Next to the main building were the buildings for the workers of the farm. The farm provided the military stations nearby and it was also a station for the road (Via Ausonius) which passes the farm.
Today you can visit the remaining fundaments of the buildings. Roofs build above them covers the ruins from rain.
