This flag was adopted as the borough flag in 2003. It is intended to represent Lincoln Square (the center of town) and its location as Gettysburg's "historic crossroads." The colors of Red, White, & Blue represent the town's historic place in US History, with the gold stars on blue field representing the PA State colors. The stars themselves represent the days of the historic Battle of Gettysburg as well as the 3 wards of the municipality itself.
