EN: "Gules, a sun resplendent Or" (wikipedia)

I couldn't find the meaning of the sun. The coat of arms is quite old; it already appears on the Schalbetter map from 1545.

Sierre is one of the municipalities in Switzerland that claims to have the most hours of sunshine a year (there are some), but that's probably a coincidence. Anyway, when I found the flag in front of the town hall during my visit, there was heavy snowfall.

Je n'ai pas pu trouver le sens du soleil. Les armoiries sont assez anciennes; il apparaît déjà sur la carte Schalbetter de 1545.

Sierre est l'une des communes de Suisse qui prétend avoir le plus d'heures de soleil par an (il y en a quelques), mais c'est probablement une coïncidence. EN tout cas, lorsque j'ai trouvé le drapeau devant la mairie lors de ma visite, il y a eu de fortes chutes de neige.

Die Bedeutung der Sonne konnte ich nicht finden. Das Wappen ist schon ziemlich alt; es erscheint schon auf der Schalbetterkarte von 1545.

Siders ist eine der Gemeinden der Schweiz, die von sich behaupten, die meisten Sonnenstunden pro Jahr zu haben (es gibt einige), das ist aber vermutlich Zufall. Als ich bei meinem Besuch die Flagge vor dem Rathaus fand, herrschte jedenfalls schwerer Schneefall.
