Make a NOTE: Progress AVE runs north from College St (MO-135) and looks like it goes to the park...but you cannot reach the park in your car from that street...Progress Ave. IS NOT Progress St. Use My. Vernon St. to reach the park.
On the back side is the community center, also, part of the park.

This link is to the Katy Trail blog, it gives peoples opinion and reactions to the area when they visited. Most day the bathrooms are bad. To update, the bathrooms on Nov. 24, 2019, during my visit, were clean and free of offensive smells. The city must have reacted to the Katy Campers The Katy Trail @ city park

Picnic Facilities: Two large pavilions filled with picnic tables and BBQ pits on either side.

City swimming pool, basketball court, large playground (mix of modern and old style equipment)

Art (murals/sculpture, etc.): Huge mural on the bath house for the swimming pool

Special Events: Camping allowed. The Katy Trail is near (30 yards) and is open to travelers to camp (tent) in the park.
