On the corner of W. Ash Street and N. Main stands this 1-1/2 story stone gymnasium that has a raised roof that is built in the Art Deco style. There are three rows of windows. The bottom two rows are filled in with concrete blocks and the top row has exposed casement windows. Each corner of the building is rounded, and the entrance at the southwest corner has a flat canopy above it. We could not determine if the building is in use, but found several cars in the parking lot.

The building screams WPA, so we were surprised to see the Oklahoma Landmarks Database show the building as 1930 with no WPA reference. But we were vindicated when we found a granite cornerstone near the entrance showing 1939, and beneath it, a place where a bronze WPA shield can readily be seen to have been vandalized and removed.
