This stone war memorial stands in Parr Fold Park near to the Manchester Road entrance.

The memorial made from Portland Stone is in the form of an obelisk standing on a three step base. It was erected in 1925 and was amended after the Second World War to also commemorate that war.

There is a carving of a wreath near the top of the obelisk and at the base the following inscription.

1939-1945
There is also a bronze plaque on the ground in front of the memorial.
