A miner and his family which consists of a wife, son and daughter. Miner is wearing work clothes; his proper right hand rests on an air drill. Holding his proper left hand is a little girl, who carries a lunch pail in her proper left hand. Behind her and beside the miner is a woman. Her proper right arm is around the miner's waist, and her proper left hand rests on his proper left arm. A boy rides on the miner's shoulders. He holds on to the miner's hard hat with his proper right hand, and in his raised proper left hand holds a small spade.
Overall dimensions are approx. 6 1/2 x 4 x 3 ft.
