Earl Harris Elementary School in Bethany is located on N. Asbury Ave., north of N.W. 42nd St. The brick time and temperature sign that is also where the school advertises upcoming events is located at the southeast side of the school. Presumably the school color is purple, as both the website and background of the displays on the sign are purple.
On the day of our visit, the temperature displayed was 69ºF at 12:48 p.m. "Earl Harris Elementary" along with a horseshoe, and "Home of the Bronchos" is on permanent display on the sign.
I've been in this school many times, and the time display was a welcome sight every time I worked here. The school provides education to students in grades 1-5. In this same block is the preschool, middle school, and high school.
