Text from
Outdoor Sculpture in Texas a book by Carol Morris Little
"Jimenez chose to create a group of fiberglass alligators for San Jacinto Plaza because of his childhood memories of live alligators that once lived in a pool at the plaza. Jimenez remembers going to the plaza with his mother and grandmother and being fascinated by the reptiles that languished motionless in the hot sun."
