The bell from the Church of Stetí sv. John the Baptist in Orech from bellmaker Brikci of Cinperk from 1590
Brikci of Cinperk, was one of the most important Czech Renaissance bell-makers. He was born between 1525-1535 and died in 1599 as a result of the plague epidemic. He came from a Prague bell-making family based in Široká Street (today Jungmannova) in Nové Mesto, his father was master Ondrej Zvonar. During the period of its independent operation, approximately since 1550, the Brikcí smelter poured around a hundred bells, which were intended primarily for churches in the New Town of Prague and in a number of municipalities around Prague. The quality and renown of Brikci's work was appreciated by Emperor Maximilian II. awarding a peerage with a coat of arms and a nickname and Stannimonte, or Cinperk.
