Although the pub is called the Blue Bell the pub sign is confusingly green.

Pubs with Bell in the name usually denote that there is a church nearby and in this case there is a Unitarian pub not far away.
The Blue Bell is a common name for pubs, but the signs do normally show blue bells, so it is a bit strange that this bell is green.
The sign has a relatively simple design with a drawing of bell in front of an arch window.
There has been a pub on the site since at least the 19th Century, but this building replaced the original in 1906. It was refurbished in 2013 and presumably that's when this version of the pub sign was placed.
