Plaque Text:
The first bank in Keller was located here. Originally the building had three stories. The Masonic Lodge leased the third floor. This floor was taken off about 1929 because of damage from a severe storm. Woodman of the World used the second floor. Called the First State Bank, the name was changed in 1921 to Keller State Bank. William Chaney and T.B. White were the first presidents. The name changed to the Guaranty State Bank and then the Citizens Bank. In 1941 it was sold to Union Bank and Trust of Ft. Worth.
