The Beatles’ only concert in Nice, France took place at 9pm at the Palais des Expositions, situated on the Esplanade Maréchal de Lattre de Tassigny.

"Après avoir fait un détour par Milan (le 24 juin 1965), Gênes le 25 juin et Rome (les 27 et 28), les Beatles revinrent en France une dernière fois contrairement à une autre légende qui soutient que le concert niçois fut annulé. Leur Caravelle du vol 643 d’Air France atterrit sur l’aéroport de Nice Côte d’Azur, le mardi 29 juin à 12h40, où ils étaient attendus par une vingtaine de journalistes, et seulement par une trentaine (selon certains) ou une centaine (selon d’autres) de fans tapageurs qui s’étaient massés dans le hall et sur la terrasse brûlante de l’aérogare. Ils n’eurent toutefois que le temps de les apercevoir, puisque les « quatre chevelus de charme » furent immédiatement conduits sous escorte policière à leur résidence, l’hôtel Négresco, où, après restauration, ils donnèrent une conférence de presse à 17 heures.
Le lendemain matin, mercredi 30 juin, les Beatles s’éclipsèrent discrètement pour aller faire une ballade en mer sur un yacht privé à Antibes. Le soir, sous l’oeil vigilant de 300 policiers équipés di dix lances d’incendie braquées vers le public, et après une interminable et ennuyeuse première partie, ils donnèrent vers 23 heures un concert au Palais des Expositions de Nice devant (selon les sources) 5000 à 8000 fans déchaînés. Guy Bedos et Sophie Daumier faisaient partie de l’assistance dont les hurlements surtout féminins couvraient partiellement la musique du groupe Puis, en guise de détente après un récital dans une salle envahie par l’hystérie et chaude comme une étuve il y eut plusieurs évanouissements les quatre garçons se retrouvèrent à faire du karting à 2 heures du matin ( !) avec leur chauffeur Alf Bicknell, à la Siesta, près de Villeneuve Loubet. Le lendemain à 15h45, ils quittaient définitivement la France et s’envolaient pou l’Espagne où le 2 juillet ils se produisirent à la Plaza de Toros de Madrid."
"After making a detour via Milan (on 24 June 1965), Genoa on 25 June and Rome (on 27 and 28), the Beatles returned to France one last time, contrary to another legend who maintains that the Nice concert was cancelled. Their Caravelle from Air France flight 643 landed at Nice Côte d'Azur airport on Tuesday 29 June at 12.40pm, where they were awaited by around twenty journalists, and only about thirty (according to some) or a hundred (according to others) noisy fans who had gathered in the lobby and on the burning terrace of the terminal. They only had time to see them, however, as the "four hairy charmers" were immediately taken under police escort to their residence, the Negresco Hotel, where, after the restoration, they gave a press conference at 5 p.m.
The next morning, Wednesday, June 30, the Beatles slipped away discreetly for a sea trip on a private yacht to Antibes. In the evening, under the watchful eye of 300 policemen equipped with ten fire hoses aimed at the public, and after an interminable and boring opening act, they gave a concert at the Palais des Expositions in Nice at about 11pm in front of (according to sources) 5,000 to 8,000 raging fans. Guy Bedos and Sophie Daumier were part of the audience whose mostly female screams partially covered the band's music. Then, as a way of relaxing after a recital in a hysterically overcrowded and steamy hall, the four boys fainted several times and found themselves going karting at 2am (!) with their driver Alf Bicknell, at the Siesta, near Villeneuve Loubet. The next day at 3:45 pm, they left France for good and flew to Spain where on July 2nd they performed at the Plaza de Toros in Madrid."
