Henry Baines died in 1902, aged 25 years, in the Manning River District Hospital, from injuries received 30 January. Unfortunately much of the lead lettering of his headstone has deteriorated and fallen off, leaving it VERY hard to read!

In Loving Memory of HENRY
son of S.A. & the late W. Baines
who died in M R D Hospital Feb 27, 1902
from injuries accidentally received on Jan 30
Aged 25 years
For four weeks dear Harry suffered
Our pleading to spare him was vain
He said his loving Saviour would take him to rest
With his father amongst the blest
Safe Home

[Back Friday 29 April, 2022, to get the full inscription! But almost got my car bogged, just by getting the left-hand wheels off the road onto what I thought was gravel, but was mud and clay.]
