The marble tomb of Julie Clary Bonaparte is located in the Bonaparte Chapel to the right of the main altar of the Basilica of Santa Croce. The tomb features a relief sculpture on the theme of works of charity. On the front of the tomb is the inscription in French:

Description:

Marie Julie Clary was born to a wealthy silk manufacturer and merchant in Marseille, François Clary. She was the sister of Napoléon's former fiancée Désirée Clary. She married Napoléon's older brother Joseph Bonaparte and became Napoléon's sister-in-law.

When Napoléon installed Joseph as King of Naples and Sicily (1806–1808) and later as King of Spain (1808–1813, Julie Clary became the Queen Consort of Naples and Sicily and then Spain. Together Julie Clary and Joseph Bonaparte had a three daughters including Charlotte Napoléon Bonaparte who died at the age of 36. Charlotte's tomb is opposite her mother's tomb in the Bonaparte Chapel of the Basilica of Santa Croce.
