Exploration State Park is located on the southeast corner of E. 2nd Street and S. Jefferson, northeast of the downtown area of Hobart. The park includes a great wood playground for younger children, and a stone and wood pavilion dedicated to a young child who was tragically killed in 2006.

The pavers are located on eight stone and brick pillars which stnd on a concrete patio, surrounding a wood beam engraved with local cattle brands. Each pillar has a stone base. Each four-sided pillar has 32 engraved bricks of Hobart citizens who provided the funding for the park and playground.
