Hovaka Centennial Park was established as part of Hobart's Downtown Beautification Project in 2000. This small park area has a few trees and serves as a resting spot for visitors.
Just south of a small circular area with shrubs and benches is a flagpole flying the American flag. Beneath this is a bronze plaque showing the seals of five branches of the military. The plaque reads:
