St Nicholas Church of England was built in 1863 making it one of the oldest timber churches in the New England. The church is constructed of stringy bark feather edged weatherboards cut by pit sawyers, basalt foundations and stringybark roof shingles that still exist under the corrugated iron roof. The church has a high gabled roof with a smaller gable on the small vestry (added in 1871). There are two small Gothic windows on the western side and sets of three windows on the southern and northern sides.
