The Adelphi footbridge connects Adelphi Street with the peninsular of land that occupies the inside of the Irwell meander near the Crescent in Salford.

At the time the bridge was built the peninsular was heavily industrialised, but has now been cleared and contains a nature reserve known as The Meadows.
