While the church does have a website and a Facebook page (which hasn't seen much use in recent days), neither are very forthcoming with history.

Joseph Roff and his Choctaw wife, David Anna Roff, settled in this area in 1883, and by 1890, there was a sizable community with a school and a post office. The railroad arrived in 1901, and the town took off, primarily as an agricultural community, but with some industry: The Mid-Continent Glass Sand Company is still operating in 2019. The Great Depression took its toll on Roff, with the First State Bank closing in 1934, and the railroad closing down passenger operations by 1960, but today, there are over seven hundred people living here.
