History
In 1957, the Roethinger house built an organ of 47 stops for the Benedictine Abbey of St Louis du Temple in Limon near Paris.
In 2008, the association Friends of the European organ of Celles-sur-Belle was created with the aim of providing the abbey with an organ that disappeared during the Revolution. The association acquires the Roethinger organ and addresses the organ builder Olivier Chevron, under the supervision of Jean-Michel Dieuaide for the reconstruction of an organ in a new case.
In 2016, the organ was built in the organ builder's workshops.
In 2017, the organ went up into the abbey church on a platform built for this purpose.
The organ’s blessing is scheduled for April 22, 2018 and the inauguration by Olivier Houette on May 5, 2018.

Histoire
En 1957, la maison Roethinger construit un orgue de 47 jeux pour l’abbaye bénédictine St Louis du Temple à Limon près de Paris.
En 2008, l’association les Amis de l’orgue européen de Celles-sur-Belle est créée avec pour objectif de doter l’abbatiale d’un orgue qui avait disparu à la Révolution. L’association se porte acquéreur de l’orgue Roethinger et s’adresse au facteur Olivier Chevron, sous la maîtrise d’œuvre de Jean-Michel Dieuaide pour la reconstruction d’un orgue dans un buffet neuf.
En 2016, l’orgue est construit dans les ateliers du facteur d’orgues.
En 2017, l’orgue est remonté dans l’abbatiale sur une tribune construite à ce effet.
La bénédiction de l’orgue est prévue pour le 22 avril 2018 et l’inauguration par Olivier Houette le 5 mai 2018.
Descriptif
Buffet en chêne clair accroché en nid d’hirondelle au-dessus de l’escalier d’entrée. 4 plates faces et deux tourelles plates latérales. Motifs en fer forgé par des artisans locaux. Console en fenêtre.
